Wolves will be desperate to keep defender Max Kilman this summer, says journalist Pete O’Rourke.
The 24-year-old has impressed this season and is now linked with a move away from Molineux.
What’s the latest on Kilman?
According to talkSPORT, Chelsea are considering making an offer for Kilman when the transfer window opens again.
The same outlet claims the Blues have scouted the 6ft4in centre-back, with the club potentially set to lose Antonio Rudiger, Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen, whose contracts all expire at the end of the season.
Kilman has been a consistent presence for Wolves this term and is part of a defense that has conceded just 23 Premier League goals, showing his importance to Bruno Lage’s side.
Given his form, an England call-up has been mooted, with Gareth Southgate present at Molineux for Wolves’ recent 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace.

What did O’Rourke say about Kilman and the wolves?
A move to the European champions is likely to appeal to Kilman, who is a childhood Blues fan. However, O’Rourke is certain he is a player Wolves won’t want to let go of this summer.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the transfer insider said: “Things are going well for Max Kilman at the moment, but Wolves will be desperate to keep him.
“But I’m sure there will be a few clubs looking this summer ready to test their resolve.”
Will Kilman end up leaving Wolves this summer?
You can see why Chelsea would want Kilman. He didn’t have a great game against Palace, registering a disappointing match rating on WhoScored before being taken off. However, overall he has been pretty solid this season.
“He looks really good in the Premier League. He looks confident, he’s played every minute this season. Everything about his game is mature,” said former Manchester City defender and title winner Micah Richards in Match of the Day (via Molineux News) in January when discussing the Wolves star.
Frustratingly for Chelsea, however, Kilman recently signed a new contract until 2026 meaning the Midlands club do not need to sell in the next transfer window.
Ultimately, if the west London side or any other team want to sign Kilman, they will likely have to shell out big bucks, so it’s uncertain whether the centre-half will leave Molineux this summer.
