Victor Osimhen tried to sign for Man Utd

Manchester United have been linked with Nigeria international and Napoli star Victor Osimhen for some time and the latest update is intriguing.

According to Corriere dello Sport’s Antonio Giordano, Osimhen would be tempted to sign for Man Utd and if the PL side come up with a huge offer, it should be accepted.

To transfer: Man Utd determined to sign £67m star who loves Red Devils – concrete intention

The Italian journalist said (via Tutto Napoli):

“Osimhen is followed by half the world and it’s true that Newcastle posted 100 million in January, but in my opinion, if the English club returns, the Nigerian will not go.

“Meanwhile, Arsenal never stopped following him and, surprisingly, Manchester United. In the personal imagination of a 23-year-old player, United is a temptation and if the Red Devils reach certain numbers, history teaches us that certain operations must be done.

Last month, popular La Gazzetta outlet Dello Sport revealed that the Diego Armando Maradona stadium side would only sell the centre-forward for £83m (€100m).

In the current campaign, Osimhen has started 17 games in Serie A so far and has directly contributed to 14 goals (11 goals and 3 assists).

In contrast, in the Europa League, he scored 4 goals and provided 1 assist in 5 appearances.

The Old Trafford side need a quality striker to eventually replace Cavani and Ronaldo at the club. Do you think Victor Osimhen is good enough to improve Man Utd’s strike force?
