Veteran journalist Amanpour reveals set of demands made by Iranian President Raisi’s aide

Veteran CNN reporter Christiane Amanpour said Thursday that she told Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s aide that she would not wear a headscarf because she is in New York and the laws do not require her to not to do it.

She wanted to speak to the Iranian president about protests demanding justice for Mahsa Amini, the 22-year-old woman who died due to alleged brutality by Iran’s morality police who uphold Islamic morals and detain people she believes be “poorly” dressed.
