Reporter reveals Spurs have made a bid for Atletico Madrid star – Spurs Web

According to El Chiringuito journalist Juanfe SanzTottenham Hotspur have submitted an offer for Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco.

Despite being right-handed, the versatile Carrasco has played at left-back for Atletico on numerous occasions and has also featured more forward.

Spurs are expected to be in the market for a left-back this summer, with reports that Antonio Conte has given the green light to sell Sergio Reguilon (Football Insider).

It was reported towards the end of the January transfer window that Spurs had started talks with Atletico over Carrasco and the north London club were even prepared to meet the £60m release clause. euros (£49.9m) from the Belgian (foot market).

Athletic’s David Ornstein reported at the time that Diego Simeone’s side had rejected Tottenham’s offer for the 28-year-old but added that the La Liga club could cash in on the player this summer.

Sanz has now taken to social media to reveal that Carrasco has received an offer from Spurs ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, the El Chiringuito reporter didn’t give any further details or explain whether the North Londoners are willing to meet the wing-back’s release clause.
