Towards the end of the summer transfer window, reports suggested Chelsea were favorites to sign the Everton star, (The temperature) while it has also been suggested that Spurs must submit their own formal offer for the youngster (Football Insider)

However, the two London clubs failed to pursue the 21-year-old, who ended up staying at Goodison Park.

Gordon’s current contract with the Toffees runs until 2025 (transfermarkt), and Brown believes he will not sign a new contract with his boyhood club and will assess his options again in January.

The journalist told GiveMeSport: “I don’t think you’re going to see Anthony Gordon sign a new contract with Everton in the next few weeks, no matter what salary they offer him.

“It seems to me that he will look around and see what happens in the next window before deciding his future, which is not an ideal situation for Everton, but that doesn’t really seem to have him. affected in the field.”

Even if Gordon doesn’t sign a new contract, I don’t think Everton will consider selling him in January. However, the Merseysiders could be tempted to cash in on him next summer if they receive a lucrative offer, given he may only have two years left on his contract by then.
