Reporter hints at mysterious Newcastle United signing

Newcastle United are a club that have been shrouded in transfer rumors for months now and it’s not hard to see why either. The club’s new owners were due to make a statement this summer and they certainly have already, signing Matt Targett, Nick Pope and Sven Botman on permanent deals. However, more signings are expected to arrive over the next few weeks.

The Magpies have been linked with a long list of players lately. This includes Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby, Real Sociedad’s Alexander Isak, Borussia Dortmund’s Thorgan Hazard, Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin and many more.

It remains to be seen what kind of additions Newcastle United will end up bringing to Eddie Howe’s squad in the future.

Newcastle United could also end up making a mystery signing and it looks like a lot of work is going on at St James’ Park this week. As reported by GIVEMESPORT, journalist Dean Jones said of the situation:

“It looks like a lot of work is going on at Newcastle this week. We know the Diaby and [Dominic] Calvert-Lewin ties, but I think they’re talking to agents about someone else important right now.

“It’s a mystery who it is. I’m trying to understand, but after talking to a few people, I feel like something is going on.

Could Newcastle United end up making a mystery signing this summer?

Newcastle United have been linked with an impressive list of stars in recent times and each of them could prove to be an incredible signing for the Magpies.

But could the club potentially move for someone quietly, and there aren’t many rumors about him in the media? Only time will tell.

Either way, Newcastle United fans should be delighted with the direction the club seem to be heading. They looked destined for relegation until the turn of the calendar, but right now many even think the Magpies are good enough to challenge for the European qualifying spots next season.

So Howe, the players and everyone else associated with the club deserves a lot of credit for the turnaround and hopefully the Magpies will continue to improve.
