“Not another minute, out!” : a Barcelona journalist attacks Dembele

Ousmane Dembele’s contract situation took a bad turn earlier today, starting with Mateu Alemany releasing a statement about the Frenchman. He said it was understood Dembele didn’t want to renew and should leave the club immediately.

Subsequently, Xavi Hernandez left the team’s winger, strengthening the club’s position. However, Dembele soon issued an official statement condemning the reports about him and saying he was still in the team dynamic.

Renowned journalist Gerard Romero immediately opined on the situation, effectively calling the whole situation a show put on by the player and his agent.

“One thing is clear from the letter. Moussa Sissoko acts with the full consent of Dembélé. The player’s ‘show’ with Xavi, telling him he wants to stay, and his talking agent, MIAU! What a circus! Not a minute more. Outside”

Romero echoed the fans’ general response to Dembele’s gesture, with most people fed up with the long saga.

Javi Miguel from Diario AS joined the movement as he took to social media in response to the player’s statement. He called him “arrogant” and gave him some rough advice.

“Dembele’s letter has an arrogant tone. Ousmane, you are in no condition to forbid anyone anything. The club has hidden thousands of your acts of indiscipline. A word of advice: it is better not to provoke them and to hide a little.

As things stand, the club have given the France international two options: renew or leave the club. While waiting for a decision to be made, it seems decided that he will remain in the stands.
