Journalist says Spurs have a ‘much better chance’ of beating Man UTD if the £150,000-a-week star doesn’t play

Tottenham Hotspur travel to Old Trafford for their Premier League clash against Manchester United on Wednesday night and the London club will look to close in on the league leaders with an away win.

Antonio Conte’s side lost 3-2 on their last visit to Old Trafford and they will be looking to pick up a victory to lift their spirits here.

Manchester United have certainly shown signs of improvement since the arrival of Erik ten Hag but they are not quite there yet. The Red Devils are inconsistent and Spurs are hoping to capitalize on their vulnerabilities.

Despite injuries to key players like Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski, Conte has enough firepower in his team to get a vital result here.

According to journalist Dean Jones, the London club will have a great chance of winning the game if Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen does not play the game.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “He [Eriksen] plays a very different role for United than he did at Tottenham. But there’s no doubt that if he doesn’t play, Spurs have a much better chance of winning this game.

The £150,000-a-week midfielder has made a huge impact since joining the club and he could make a big difference to the home side.

Eriksen was a fan favorite during his time at Tottenham and away fans will certainly be hoping he has a lackluster outing against their team if he plays.
