Italian journalist Furio Valcareggi has claimed Tottenham target Paulo Dybala would prefer to stay in Serie A.
Tottenham have been established as one of the main contenders to land Dybala (foot market), whose contract at Juventus expires at the end of the season (transfer market).
The Lilywhites are believed to face competition from Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and Barcelona for the 28-year-old (Sky Italy).
Mundo Deportivo revealed a few weeks ago that Dybala’s ‘first option’ would be a move to Atletico as the striker would like to play under fellow countryman Diego Simeone.
Meanwhile, TuttoSport suggested Spurs would be willing to let the Juve star go to Inter as it could open the door for the North Londoners to nab Lautaro Martinez.
Valcareggi said he expected the Nerrazuri to win the race for Dybala as the striker would prefer to continue his career in Italy.
The journalist told Calciomercato.it is CMIT TV“For me, he goes to Inter. De Beppe Marotta is an important club.
“Foreign countries are less popular because he prefers Italy for many reasons. There will be a lot of controversy but with a good offer, it’s only fair that he goes to Inter.”
Boosts web opinion
Multiple sources have now suggested Spurs are not favorites to land Dybala, which makes sense, especially given the impact Kulusevski has had playing on the right. The likes of Inter probably need a player of the Argentine’s profile much more than we do.
