Journalist reveals Celtic plans for January deadline

Celtic certainly had an incredibly hectic January transfer window. The club signed five players in the form of Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate, Yosuke Ideguchi, Matt O’Riley and Johnny Kenny. On the other hand, quite a few players have also been sent out on loan. Liam Shaw and Conor Hazard have temporarily joined Motherwell and HJK Helsinki. Ewan Henderson has joined Hibernian on loan, although the move is expected to be made permanent this summer.

There could be more to come in this regard as there are quite a few youngsters who have struggled playing at Celtic this season and could benefit from loan spells away from the club.

Names like Osaze Urhoghide and Adam Montgomery immediately come to mind. Although they haven’t played much football for Celtic this season, they could very well be good enough to start regularly at some Scottish clubs.

On the other hand, in terms of revenue, we cannot expect much from Celtic, which has already strengthened considerably. The Hoops have made a habit of throwing a transfer surprise from time to time.
