Journalist provides update on Cazorla’s return to Arsenal

Arsenal journalist Charles Watts has posted an update on recent reports linking Santi Cazorla with a return to the club.

Santi Cazorla needs no introduction among Arsenal fans and his latest comments have caused a stir after hinting he could return to the Emirates Stadium in some capacity.

At 37, his career is nearing its final stages and fans hoping to see the Spaniard on the pitch may be disappointed.

However, rumors suggest he could join former Gunners team-mate and compatriot Mikel Arteta as manager at Arsenal. Charles Watt has weighed in on the matter and released the latest development in the saga.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Watts said Cazorla could return to Arsenal: “It will be fascinating to see what Santi does when he hangs up his boots.

“I think we would all like Santi to come back and be part of the coaching staff.

” He’s talking about [a] sports director [role] there, I don’t think that’s going to happen to Arsenal because, well, Edu is in place and you would think that Edu is probably going to stick around for a while and see this project come to fruition, and Santi has never done anything such before, so I can’t imagine he would go straight into a sporting director position at Arsenal

“But when it comes to staff coaching, I mean, who knows? That relationship with Arteta is there, and how great would it be to see Santi come back and be part of the coaching staff?

Cazorla was a fan favorite under Arsene Wenger and contributed to 74 goals in all competitions.

You would expect that if Arteta was confident in his coaching abilities, he would have no problem placing his former teammate among his backstage team.

However, it may at least be some time before that happens, with the two-time EURO winner still competing in Qatar with his contract not until the summer.
