Manchester United are scanning the EFL market right now, and a Football Insider report claims Norwich City’s Max Aarons is currently on their radar.
The full-back, who is no stranger to being linked with exciting moves away from the Championship club, has racked up nearly 200 appearances for the Canaries since making his senior debut in 2018.
The athletic defender signed a five-year deal at Carrow Road in 2019, meaning he has just under two years left on his current deal, while it’s unclear whether he has an extra year attached to this agreement.
Addressing Manchester United’s interest in the young full-back, Pete O’Rourke told Give Me Sport: “I think it would be a no-brainer for Max Aarons if Manchester United came to call him.
“He wants to play in the Premier League and he doesn’t want to play in the Championship.

“He has very high aspirations and he’s been linked with a number of big clubs over the years, so I think the opportunity to go to Old Trafford would be something he couldn’t turn down.”
Aarons is a high-quality player at the second tier, and at just 22, he still has an exciting future ahead of him.
The defender has also managed to accumulate Premier League experience which bodes well for him if a move to the Premier League materializes.
It will be interesting to see how this situation unfolds before the January transfer window opens as he is likely to play an assistant role at Old Trafford.
Nonetheless, being linked to a club with Manchester United history is always an exciting prospect for a Championship footballer.
