‘Inter and Marcelo Brozovic are close to agreeing the terms of a new contract’

Inter are close to reaching a full agreement with Marcelo Brozovic on a new contract after the summer.

This according to Sky Sport journalist Matteo Barzaghi, who reported on his Twitter account that the Nerazzurri and the midfielder still have a few final details to work out before he signs his extension and the club officially announces it.

Inter have been in talks with Brozovic’s representatives since around mid-November to secure an extension, with renewal after the end of June when his current deal expires a priority.

There isn’t much left to settle in the terms of the contract, but as Barzahi clarified, the deal isn’t fully done and there are still a few loose ends.

Once the player and the club have agreed on the final details, he is expected to sign the new contract after the end of this season, an important matter given the importance of the player 29 years for the team in the field.

For anyone asking me when Brozovic’s renewal will be made official,” Barzaghi wrote, “first both parties (however close they are) need to come to an agreement and sign the contract. At some point there will be an official announcement.

He continued that”In case some are unable to understand, I will clarify. A lot of people have asked me when the renewal of Brozovic’s contract will be made official, because they believe that a definitive agreement has already been reached.”

“That’s not true,” he clarified, “at least not yet. It’s missing those final details and his signature.
