Italian transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio says Inter’s attack could be revolutionized this summer if Lautaro Martinez is sold by the club, according to a report in Italian media.
Speaking during a show on Sky SportsGoing through FCInter1908Gianluca Dim Marzio has explained that the money raised from selling Lautaro Martinez will give Inter the chance to completely change their attacking department.
“It depends on Lautaro: if Lautaro leaves, Inter’s attack could be revolutionized. If he stays, another striker will be signed but he will have to be with a lower budget.
He went on to explain that there’s always the possibility of Paulo Dybala arriving at the club but he doesn’t think they’re particularly desperate to sign the Argentine at the moment.
“There is always Dybala. We did not feel that Inter were very warm with him, but we can be cold today and warm up tomorrow: today they are not blocking him, they did not tell him that they would take him.
“He has a high salary and if his demands are what he had at Juve, they are still important: Inter still have to reduce the number of salaries.”
In terms of fundraising for salaries, the main source of funding would be Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez.
“For Vidal, there is the possibility of breaking the contract with a high severance package: I think he will come to that conclusion. Sanchez has another year at very high numbers.
