‘I feel like Chelsea are favourites’ – Journalist says Blues lead race for wonderkid

While it’s clear that many European clubs are trying to secure the signing of Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick as soon as possible, it looks like Chelsea continue to be in a very strong position in the race.

The latest update from journalist Jorge Nicola claims that Paris Saint Germain have made the final offer. They offered €45m including bonuses and the Brazilian club refused, saying they would only accept €60m. The Ligue 1 side increased their offer but still didn’t get the requested numbers and were again rejected.

PSG director Luis Campos is now set to have a chat with his bosses over a possible €60m deal. They are said to be in a rush due to competition from Chelsea and Real Madrid. And that’s where some very interesting information comes in regarding the Blues chase, as Nicola claims to have a ‘feeling’ of the chase.

“Feel, okay? Talking to people here and there, I feel like Chelsea are the favorites to go for the athlete. Maybe not for the financial issue, but for the whole package. Chelsea, since the first day Endrick turned 16, have made a series of plans trying to include Endrick in a big package. The idea is to make him the face of Chelsea from the moment he can move to Europe, when he turns 18.”

This upcoming opening bid from Chelsea has indeed been reported for a while now. Although it hasn’t been done yet, there are plenty of signs that the Blues are serious about the race as Brazilian and English media continue to report that the club have been in contact with the youngster’s family.
