So you hate the military as much as Wasserman-Schultz. Good to know.

Hatred of a group is hatred of a group, your reason for hating them is meaningless if you are targeting them only because they belong to that group. The exception to that rule is of course if a group happens to be a hate based group such as the KKK.

To say that it is more wrong to target someone based on skin color than the fact that they served this country demonstrates a hatred of those who served.

And anyone claiming that military vets are not targets needs to watch video from the "peaceful" anti-war rallies where vets have in fact been attacked.

Hate crimes legislation by its very nature gives unequal protection to certain groups over others and is therefore a violation of the US Constitution. So not only is she demonstrating that she hates the military, she is doing so while defending a law that stomps on the foundation of this country.

She's correct in her assessment that military veterans are not sought out and systematically harassed, abused or killed because of their "choice" to serve in the military. The conceit of hate crime legislation is that black people do not choose to be black, therefor killing them based solely on that fact is, and has to be legally wrong. Spin how you want but Rep. Wasserman-Schultz is correct. The isolated instances of aggression against troops is not at all similar to generations of hatred and violence played out against Jews, Blacks, Gays, Latinos... etc.
