I've read of Lincoln and his new party and wondered why blacks are mostly democrats. I grew up working with blacks on the tobacco farms in the 60's. They were treated badly by most whites, but not all. Funny, though because we knew no republicans, so who was it that was holding them back. Perhaps it was the same democrats that now claim to be for black people. I believe that proper education of history is the only key to break the cycle of dependence created by the democratic party. I believe that blacks were led astray from their true heritage of personal freedom by manipulative politicians,both black & white. I am so happy to see your forum.
