McCain Uses Praise From Democrats in New Web Ad

Is it a negative ad strategy if he is simply using the praise given him by Democrats like Barack Obama, John Kerry and Hillary Clinton? Some are claiming that he is using this ad to keep Obama’s message from getting out, though I am still trying to figure out what that message is. Wall Street Journal has an opinion here.
