Carnival of Political Punditry – December 23, 2007
Welcome to the December 23, 2007 edition of carnival of political punditry. I posted a few notes in this carnival.
Sagar presents Comparison: Major Presidential Candidates on Monetary Policy and the USD posted at Currency Trading.net.
Jessica Hupp gives a very non-biased opinion of some of the front runners and Ron Paul. This looks like an educational website that focuses on forex trading.
Sammy Benoit presents Scientists Doubt of Man-Made Climate Change makes Gore Pout posted at YID With LID.
Sammy is back and has a few great articles. Check them out.
Sammy Benoit presents Keep Congress Out of My Toilet posted at YID With LID.
Sammy Benoit presents Yes Virginia, There Is a Terror War posted at YID With LID.
Sammy Benoit presents YID With LID: Bolton: Rice Is a SCREW UP- Pres Needs To Take Control posted at YID With LID.
Dana presents Huckabee and monolithic homeschoolers posted at Principled Discovery.
Charles H. Green presents European Fish, the Commons, and Business posted at Trust Matters, saying, “Fish are suffering from the tragedy of the commons, and it’s odd, because it’s governments, not private interests, who are enabling much of it.”
Mike Kuykendall presents Iraq Casualty Update posted at Mike Kuykendall, saying, “A summary of the forgotten human cost of the Iraqi War over the last seven days.”
Phil B. presents Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell « Phil for Humanity posted at Phil for Humanity, saying, “The “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy is a clear violation of the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America that guarantees Freedom of Speech.”
This is a violation of the First Amendment for those who actually have those rights afforded to them. The problem is that the moment you join the military, you forfeit your Constitutional rights and replace them with those afforded to you by the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
Wenchypoo presents The Faulty Food Stamp Challenge—Eating for $1 per Person per Day posted at Wisdom From Wenchypoo’s Mental Wastebasket.
I saw something about this on FoxNews a few months back. Another liberal challenge that doesn’t get all the facts straight.
Roger Haeske presents Gifts For Tea Party Contributions To Ron Paul posted at Raw Food Diet, Bodyweight Fitness and Peak Performance Living.
The Alex Jones conspiracy machine is running strong.
Madeleine Begun Kane presents I Won’t Graciously Submit To Mike Huckabee posted at Mad Kane’s Political Madness.
Jason Mueller presents Over Ten Years Serving the Reading Public | posted at Over Ten Years Serving the Reading Public, saying, “A unique perspective on why there aught to be Federal laws requiring seat belts in school busses across America.”
Mike Kuykendall presents Ron Paul Won’t Return White Supremacist’s Money posted at Mike Kuykendall, saying, “Yet more reasons to oppose Ron Paul’s longshot GOP candidacy; he is refusing to return donations from an admitted White Supremacist.”
GrrlScientist presents ScienceDebate2008: In Search of a Science-literate Leader posted at Living the Scientific Life, saying, “While our elected officials have been distracted with petty bickering over non-issues such as the Terri Schiavo fiasco and the teaching of evolution in public schools, they have been waving their hands helplessly in the face of Hurricane Katrina, and the suffering of many Americans has been needlessly prolonged and ignored. In short, we need a science-literate president.”
GrrlScientist presents ScienceDebate2008: What Is It? posted at Living the Scientific Life, saying, “I have spoken with quite a few people from CraigsList and other places regarding the logistics and goals for ScienceDebate2008, and have found that there are plenty of misperceptions as to what scientists wish to accomplish. In short; ScienceDebate2008 is not a “science pop-quiz” that demands that the presidential candidates regurgitate a bunch of scientific theories and formulae on television.”
GrrlScientist presents Living the Scientific Life (Scientist, Interrupted): ScienceDebate2008: The Future of Science in America posted at Living the Scientific Life, saying, “There are plenty of debates for presidential candidates on all sorts of topics, but have you noticed that none of these debates include any discussion about science and research? [...] In fact, it would be great if there could be a presidential debate that specifically focuses on clarifying each candidate’s position regarding research in science, technology and the environment so they cannot dodge these subjects and so these important issues are emphasized in the public’s consciousness.”
Ray Tapajna presents Greenspan For whom the bell tolls posted at Ray Tapajna, saying, “Greenspan from the trenches. A review of Alan Greenspan’s book The Age of Turbulence from the streets of USA. Is this the New World Order or is it the New World Disorder. Greenspan is for the Free Market except when it applys to the Federal Reserve Bank itself. All other avenues are blocked off. The Federal Reserve Bank is a private bank without any competition.”
