Welcome to the November 11, 2007 edition of carnival of political punditry. When you get a moment, please check out The List. It’s a little thing I need some help with. Thanks, and enjoy.
Troy Stouffer presents Have you thanked a veteran today? posted at I’m A Pundit Too. Veterans Day will be observed on Monday, November 12. Sadly for many in the population, Monday will be just another day that the banks and post office will be closed. Most offices will be open for business and the main reminder of what day it is will be the local car dealer will be advertising their annual Veterans Day sale. In our busy lives it becomes easy to forget that men and women have served, fought, and died for the freedoms that we enjoy.
Write-On presents Lieberman Warns of Dangers and Pelosi Seeks To Cut Iraq Funding posted at On The wRite Side, saying, “Joe Lieberman warns of dangers from our enemies due to partisanship. Nancy Pelosi once again tries to stop the Iraq war by cutting funds.”

I’ve always said that if people really knew what was going on in the Middle East then Bush would have an approval rating in the upper 80s while Democrats couldn’t be elected as dogcatchers.”
Aahz presents Applied Anarchy - Free Market Health Care : Philaahzophy posted at Philaahzophy, saying, “I’ve written about the supposed “Health Care Crisis” here in America before. But given the Democratic presidential candidate’s continual pounding on the issu I figured I’d take this opportunity to try and nip the fear in the bud. Dr. Ron Paul (yes, the presidential candidate) wrote a July 24, 2007 article giving an even better example of how health care can (and currently is) provided in the free market with absolutely no interference from the government whatsoever”
Jeremy Neal presents Save Yourself from Government Regulation posted at Thoughts on Quotes, saying, “Reagan said that government should protect us from each other not ourselves. Citizens must ensure that government stays within its due bounds.”

Charles H. Green presents Terrorists and Convenience Stores: When Social Trust is Threatened posted at Trust Matters, saying, “Our response to socially-hostile acts in a networked world has been to systematize the human networks—instead of humanizing the systems. In other words, we now treat everyone like a terrorist. The problem is, we quickly become hostage to the very thing we tried to prevent. We’re now drowning in costly solutions, trying to boil the ocean.”

It is not big enough to get him the nomination. It is big enough to cost the Republicans the White House, if the Ron Paul Republicans do not stay in the Republican fold.”
