Secondly, I’ve been worried about the “pull-out” from Basra for some time. I’m not sure if I’m understanding it correctly because I focus on U.S. forces. Sadr is probably demagoguing when he says it’s a withdrawal and he sees it as a victory… the Brits say their job is done. Time will tell, but I would hate for this to be an impatient strategic move that allows al-Qaeda to take over Basra essentially losing the entire war. Maybe I’m giving the Brits too much credit.

However, these Brits are the one who didn’t even know how to properly patrol the boarder/water and were abducted by Iran…. then they sang like swans and sucked up to the Iranians, something U.S. troops were embarrassed just to watch.
