Patriot Golf Day
GIVING BACK TO THOSE WHO HAVE GIVEN EVERYTHING
On September 1, golfers across the country have the unique opportunity to donate $1 to Wounded Warriors, Inc., which will also benefit the Fallen Heroes Foundation to support families of those who have become disabled or lost their lives in the line of military duty.
So, before you tee it up, honor those who served us so valiantly.

Daniel Rooney, National Program Leader
Daniel Rooney is an F-16 fighter pilot in the Oklahoma Air National Guard and a PGA Member. Captain Rooney, call-sign Noonan, has served two tours in Iraq. “As of March 22 we have lost 3233 soldiers. They have given the ultimate sacrifice. America can come together in the spirit of golf and have a dramatic impact. We have an opportunity to make a difference for the families that have made the ultimate sacrifice.”

We can’t blame the golf club manufacturers for targeting their most profitable market of right-handed golfers, but it is quite difficult for those golfers who play left handed to find the selection offered to the mainstream players.

This is hardly a sacrifice for us compared with those being honored. We’re probably playing anyway and will never miss $1. I for one plan on donating more that day.
