Mitt Romney Wins Straw Poll. Ron Paul Fan-club Claims Victory.

Posted by admin

Mitt Romney wins straw poll. Ron Paul supporters DID EXACTLY WHAT I SAID THEY WOULD DO.

From Yahoo: “Romney scored 4,516 votes, or 31.5 percent, to outpace former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee who had 2,587 votes, or 18.1 percent. Kansas Sen. Sam Brownback was third with 2,192 votes, 15.3 percent.”

“Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo has made illegal immigration his signature issue, and scored a fourth place showing with 1,961 voltes, while Texas Rep. Ron Paul, who has developed an Internet-driven following, came in fifth with 1,305 votes.”

“Supporters of Paul had sought to block voting, arguing that vote-counting machines had fundamental weaknesses, but a federal judge refused to grant an injunction on Friday.”

As I said in a previous article, Ron Paul dorks are crying conspiracy. I said they would do this. They spammed the hell out of my blog claiming this wasn’t true, while also claiming they don’t spam. So they are already crying conspiracy before the primaries. This straw poll is a warm up to their premeditated claims of rigged results after Ron Paul loses the primaries. They actually tried to get a court order to block a vote that has no real meaning whatsoever.

Ace has more of this breaking news flash story of the decade.

  1. I think Ron Paul did pretty good getting 9% when all the polls were showing him at just 2%.

I do think it’s kind of strange that these great new computer voting machines screwed up. It does make you wonder.

To make matters worse, the guy who came out before the results were announced heard someone from the crowd yell out “What’s the matter with the computers?” His comeback was that there was nothing wrong with the computer. Everything was just fine. Why couldn’t he have just said the truth? I guess it’s politics as usual.

  2. I smell a rat.
(Yes I’m a Ron Paul supporter.)
There were 26,000 tickets sold, but only 14,302 votes counted. What happened to the almost 12,000 votes that are missing? It’s hard to believe that almost half of the people who bought (or were given) tickets failed to show up.
By every indicator other than the final vote Ron Paul’s support was by far the largest presence at the event.
Witnesses said that the machines were giving incorrect vote totals. (Example: the ballot box on one machine had 500 ballots in it but the machine recorded 498.)
Romney was overheard joking about stuffing the ballot box.
    Like I said, I smell a rat.
On another note, after the speeches were done a number of people in Romney T-Shirts were seen at the Ron Paul tent. Apparently, they hadn’t heard of Ron Paul before, liked what he said and wanted to learn more. This is typical of what happens when people hear Ron for the first time.
I have had the experience myself many times when I introduce people to Dr. Paul’s ideas. At first the response is “Who’s Ron Paul?” or “I don’t have any interest in politics,” or “I don’t ever vote because they’re all crooks.” I suggest that they should look Ron Paul up on the ‘net. A fews days later a surprising number come back to me and ask for a bumper sticker.
Once people hear Ron Paul, they support him.
This campaign is just getting started.

  3. Yes Michael, the completely meaningless vote was rigged. Thanks for proving my point.

  4. Some people out there are so dense that reality has no chance to sink in.
RP suppoters have been believing their own lies, that they haven’t been spamming the online polls, for so long that when one comes along that they can’t manipulate it confounds them.

  5. It’s remarkable the amount of time non-supporters of Ron Paul spend telling the rest of us that his campaign is a sham. You do realize that the amount of effort you exert in propagating your so-called analysis of Ron Paul’s supposed support is directly proportional to the threat you perceive him to be. If you don’t view him as a threat, stop being a hypocrite and acting like he is. And, if you do view him as a threat, man up to the reality rather than trying to shove your deceitful arguments down everyone’s throats.

  6. Actually Cheryl, we find the entire thing hilarious. It’s called humor. If you are going to continue to make jokes, we are going to continue to laugh at you.

Personally I’m just killing time until the real politics start.
You gotta admit, the Ron Paul circus is amusing.

Muwahahahaha! Deluuuuuuuuusional. If Thompson, McCain and Giuiali had been campaigning and participating, Dr. Pornulo would have gotten his 2%. You people crack me up.

  9. I’ll take Dr. Ron Paul, tenth-term Congressman and former Air Force surgeon. If not I’ll take Tancredo.

We’ve got a neo-con fascist King who doesn’t understand the limits of his constitutional powers and doesn’t care, a congress that doesn’t understand its constitutional role, and a pitiful amount of citizens who hand over liberties for an inflated threat that this and past administrations “created” with imcompetence and deceit. Oh, and puppetmaster Cheney who turned Iraq into a Halliburton opportunity. At least he’s a loyal ex-employee.

Thompson: Yawn. An average representative. Piss or get off the pot already.

McCain: Open boarders shill. Campaign already on fumes.

Romney: He’s got a “Ron Paul fan-club” too. They are called Mormons.

Giuliani: Sold his city out and rolled-over for Bush post-911. Neo-con open boarders shill who can’t play in Peoria.

  10. The Texas Republican straw poll is Sept. 1.
I doubt if McCain and Giuliani will pass up a state with 34 electoral votes and declared or not Fred Thompson will also probably be included.
If RuPaul can’t do well in his own home state, where I’m sure they know him well, then he’ll become a non-entity.
For gods sake I hope so, maybe it’ll shut the rontards up.

  11. Nah, Come on OldGuy! If he tanks in Texas, it’s a conspiracy.
